As a seasoned marketing communications professional and marketing coach, Cheryl calls upon her 20 years of hands-on business-to-consumer, business-to-business and business-to-government marketing experience in hospitality, entertainment, electronic retailing, military, education, publishing and healthcare to create results-oriented and customer-focused marketing programs especially for your company, no matter the size.
Schooled and trained as a newspaper and magazine journalist at Penn State University, University Park, PA, she sought out many answers to questions before crafting an article for regional and national publications. As a respected corporate spokesperson and liaison with local, regional and national media, she focused on honesty, building trust from her colleagues, peers and adversaries, and being proactive in frequently garnering positive media attention for products, services, experts, celebrities and events.
When it came to public relations, direct mail, advertising, promotions and e-mail campaigns, she always evaluated specific needs, developed strategies, implemented timelines, sought out skilled vendors, tracked results and established Returns on Investment for companies. Year-round, she is found teaching night and weekend courses for small business owners, non-profits, entrepreneurs and others in the cities of Binghamton and Owego, New York, as well as throughout New York state, including Broome, Tioga, Chenango and Delaware counties.
Adjunct Professor at Broome Community College
Cheryl is currently an adjunct faculty member and an active continuing education instructor at Broome Community College. Her teachings encompass her expertise in the field of direct and interactive marketing, and her students range from undergraduate business students pursuing their higher education degree to new small business owners and entrepreneurs attending fee-based courses offered by BCC's Continuing Education Department, Excellence Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (ExCEL) program and Entrepreneur Assistance Program (EAP).
Classes and workshops include marketing strategies and tactics, e-commerce, website development, internet marketing, direct mail, copywriting, press release writing, search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), blogs, social networking, special events, promotions, e-newsletters and more!

Adjunct Professor at Mercy College
Cheryl is currently an adjunct faculty member at Mercy College, near White Plains, New York, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate level business courses, including sports marketing. She is a former adjunct faculty member at The New York Center for Direct and Interactive Marketing at Mercy College, which offered the first master's program in the country focused on direct and interactive marketing and was only one of two institutions in the country at the time to offer a specialized and intensive master's of science graduate program.
Mercy College is located in the White Plains, New York, area, just outside New York City. Her present teachings are focused on Basic and Advanced Copywriting & Graphics for Direct and Interactive Marketing and Business-to-Business Direct and Interactive Marketing.
Cornell University Cooperative Extensions
(Broome, Delaware and Chenango Counties)
Throughout the year, Cheryl presents marketing courses for small, rural and agricultural businesses through the Cornell University Cooperative Extensions. With the growing interest and demand for foods and products that are organic, natural, hormone-free, eco-friendly, and sustainable, her marketing courses also include green marketing strategies and tactics.
Community Speaking Engagements
She also guest speaks for area small business/women/community organizations, non-profits and economical development agencies in Southern Tier New York and Northeastern Pennsylvania, including the Women's Business Owners' Roundtable that is sposnored by the Greater Binghamton's Small Business Administration (SBA). Many of the on-site learnings offered to workshop and seminar attendees and community leaders are based upon her extensive marketing communications background and honed services.
